It has been a hot minute since I did a psychiatry podcast from the blueprint.  Full disclosure….it is not my strong suit.  On top of that, the double topic months are hard to crank out two quality podcasts and, unfortunately, psychiatry has suffered.  So for the 2nd podcast of May, I am going to cover the screening tools for some of the more common psychiatry conditions we encounter in clinical practice.

As we are rounding off Women’s Health month on the podcast, I thought I would tackle a condition that everyone knows a little about, but might not know a lot about….and that is PCOS.  We will cover the definition, pathophysiology, signs and symptoms, diagnostic criteria, and management of a potentially life altering disease for some.

We covered heart failure in depth in 2019, but the NCCPA blueprint also have the different types of cardiomyopathies listed.  So for the first topic of season 5, I figured we would review the definitions, pathophysiology, causes, and distinguishing characteristics of these subtype of cardiomyopathies
