With the ever growing body of  literature, media focus, and just talk around town about gluten, I thought I would cover celiac disease for this month’s episode.  This is a condition that effects a lot of patients (some may not even think about it), but it is our job to consider it in patients with chronic GI upset and troubles.  So we will review the numbers, pathophysiology, signs and symptoms, testing, and treatment of a disease that is really forging its way to the front of GI medicine.
